   KPD Specialization Works for You

KPD is organized into five specialized units to deliver insurance services to you.  Those units are Commercial Property and Casualty, Workers’ Compensation, Employee Benefits, Bonds and Personal Lines.  KPD has the insurance professionals you need to manage your risk in each of these areas.

Why specialization?  While insurance is definitely not brain surgery, it has some similarities to the medical profession.  For example, if you had a herniated disk in your neck, you would not go to a podiatrist for treatment; you would go to a neurosurgeon.  If you had torn ligaments in your leg, you would not go to a general practitioner; you would see an orthopedic specialist.

In this way, insurance is the same.  If you have a high experience modification in your workers compensation plan, you would want to see an expert in workers comp, not a generalist insurance agent.  They simply would not know what to do.  Similarly, if you have high turnover of staff and you believe it is because your benefits package is not competitive in your industry, you need a benefits professional with access to industry survey data and competitive plans, not a Property Casualty agent.  What’s more, sometimes how your home, autos and toys are insured is as important as how your business is insured.  You may need a personal insurance specialist.

That is why we are organized by specialty.  Our people get to know their area of expertise very well so they can help you manage your exposure to loss.  They know the regulations, the policies, and the components of pricing, the claims administration and the technical aspects generalists cannot take the time to learn.  And we manage it all as a team standing alongside you to give you the confidence you need to better manage your business and personal risk. And be more successful.

Are you putting all KPD’s specialties to work for you?
