Labor Day - 09/01/08 Kids to College By: Lisa Smith Junior got into State College, just like his dad! What's more, you've even started to help your child to collect items (laundry bags, sheets and pillows, school supplies, etc.) that he'll need for that exciting freshman year. Although all this is fine, don't forget to examine your insurance policies. Here are a couple of insurance tips:1. If your child will be going to a school more than 100 miles away and will be leaving the car at home, give us a buzz. This call could save you as much as 10% on your auto rate. On the other hand, if Junior will be attending an urban University, and really needs that car, your rates could greatly increase. Remember, though, that insuring him individually might be more expensive. 2. When thinking about dorm dangers don't forget to review your homeowners coverage with us. Let's be sure that laptop is covered. For a review of all your coverage, contact us today. We'll be glad to help. SAFETY in NUMBERS By: Lisa SmithDo the pizza delivery drivers have trouble seeing your house numbers from the street? If they can't see them, neither can police or ambulance drivers. Upgrade your sign to one made with reflective materials; your address will light up when headlights shine on it whether it's a fire or a food emergency.
